Young Investigator Grant for Probiotics Research (YIGPRO)
The Global Probiotics Council (GPC) offers several grants each year of $50,000 each. The general purpose of these annual grants is to support new research on probiotics and gastrointestinal microbiota in the United States. Young Investigators committed to basic research on gastrointestinal microbiota, probiotics and their role in health and wellness should apply. Each year, grants will be given in specific research focus areas.
- Research must be conducted at non-profit, US-based institutions with the capacity for research programs suitable to research in the field of probiotics.
- Young investigators who are senior fellows with a committed faculty appointment or early faculty members within a maximum of 5 consecutive years of his/her first faculty appointment (appointments must be in the United States) are eligible.
- All partners must sign a “Research Grant Agreement”, which outlines: information on institutional overhead fees and clearances; use of funds; ownership of results; and any restrictions. The agreement will be supplied upon grant acceptance.
- Applicants are limited to one submission per investigator.
